AKM Fabrications Limited is a leading manufacturer of Roof Safety Products, Rubbish Chutes and a vast range of bespoke metal fabrications.
First established in 1985, it is now a successful family business. The company was originally a sheet metal work and fabrication business, but over the last 12 years it has developed a niche in the “working at height” market, these are Evo Safety Solutions.
After years of research & development and experience in manufacturing, engineering and site installations, AKM have brought to market the - Evorail and Evowalk systems to provide turnkey solutions to all your Roof Maintenance and Access issues.
All of Evo Safety Solution's products are manufactured in-house and raw materials locally sourced. We work closely with our suppliers to generate excellent products made from the best materials available.

Evorail Guardrail Systems
Here at Evo Safety Solutions we have been constantly re-designing and improving our Evorail guardrail systems since first launching them onto the market over 20 years ago. The whole range is much faster per metre to install than rival systems and is much more pleasing to the eye than “make do” scaffolding systems.
As well as providing the necessary roof edge protection required by law, Evorail offers an aesthetically pleasing, unique, design which makes it the preferred system of choice for all roof safety and access situations. Our Standard system provides permanent edge protection without the need to mechanically fix though the roofing membrane or roof structure, and provides full protection where access is required for public use, maintenance or emergency purposes.
The strength, stability and safety of Evorail Standard is derived from our researched cantilever principal, which has engineered the need to drill and puncture the roof membrane out of the installation process. This avoids noise disturbance during installation and potential penetrative water damage.
We supply Evorail for Standing Seam Roofs, Parapet Walls, Top Fixed to Composite Roofs or Front Fixed directly onto walls. We even supply a collapsible Evorail, which is not visible from ground level as it can be lowered when not required. This is particularly important on listed buildings or where planning permission is an issue.
All our systems are available fully colour coordinated, and our freestanding guardrail now incorporates the new sleek weight and easy fit foot.
Evorail is Robust
Evorail in galvanised steel finish has a minimum lifespan of at least 15yrs as a maintenance free system. We also manufacture in Aluminium and Stainless Steel finishes which can further increase the lifespan of the product. All of the system screw fixings are grade A2 stainless steel. The posts and rails have an extra smooth galvanized finish (EN ISO 1461) and eco friendly re-cycled weights.
Evorail is Modular
The system consists of pre-galvanized pre-assembled uprights which are far superior to lesser “hot dipped” galvanised products offered by some suppliers. We supply 2.5mt rails and our slide on weight. The 2.5mt hand and knee rails are connected with the Evorail Eazy clamp upright, which is fast, straightforward and easily adjustable to provide that perfect level finish. With no requirement for drilling, the system is easily mounted on any platform.
Evorail is Versatile
We can also incorporate, ladders, walkovers and access gates to the installation, these are all manufactured in house to ensure total integration. Our Evorail systems can be used in conjunction with our roof walkway products to provide the complete solution to roof access requirements. Evorail can also be colour coordinated. We can offer the product in any RAL colour painted over galvanised steel.
Evorail is Safe
Our systems fully comply with Temporary Edge Protection EN 13374 regulations, which all freestanding guardrails should be tested and designed to.
